Interview result (text of the interview: Purely descriptive)

We (family) are settled in this village since 1940 (before Pakistn came into being). A giant wave attacked and people ran away, many people died in this village. I was around 12 years of age but I don’t remember any earthquake before the waves; however my elders used to tell that the whole area from Karachi to Keti Bander was destroyed. Many people found dead, lying on the ground and even trapped on the top of the trees, killed by high waves. I remember that waves came at night but don’t remember the exact time. I observed destruction and aftermath of the tsunami. It happened long time ago so I can’t remember the exact year when it happened. If I were a literate person, I might have written the details of the event (tsunami) and the damage. I remember the waves were huge like touching skies. The wave was so strong that no one could stand and observe/ count the exact number of waves. I could escape from waves as I was a little off the way/ direction of the wave.
