My father who was living in Ormara in 1945, shared that sea receded first before it came back and attacked the coastal community. It all happened following a strong earthquake which caused Millan Mount to fire. Few tides, one or two attacked and half of the city was under water. Huts of the fishermen were swept away by the waves.
