Brief Information of the eyewitness and the interview situation

Amina Bint-e-Mubarak (daughter of Mubarak) shared that she was 20 years old and working in custom department of Oman Government in 1945 earning PKR 4/- per month as salary. She was married and had three children including an infant. Gwadar town was used to be a fish market for Iran and Pakistan and tax was I fish over 10. On agriculture products tax rate was 17%. Her husband was also a fisherman.

She felt earthquake at night/ early morning (before dawn) and three waves followed the earthquake hit the area. Mostly houses were destroyed as built of wood and date leaves mats and could not resist strong waves higher than minaret of the mosque. Three people died including a young girl and a man crushed between the boats. Four small mounts appeared in the sea at various places and disappeared after some time (months). She noticed that sea receded much behind the shoreline few kilometers after the earthquake and few minutes before the high waves arrived. Her husband was on fishing in deep sea and did not feel any earthquake or storm.
