I was 20-25 years old when earthquake and storm hit the area. I remember earthquake happened after the storm.

Many people died along with my father in the storm. Four feet high water inundated the place where we are sitting today. I was in another village at that time around 10 kilometers away from this place and water passed over the heads there. I don’t remember from which side water came but it receded in 3-4 months. We had nothing to eat and fuel wood was not available to cook anything. We used to take off skin of the dead animal. But I remember, there were so many dead animals in the area due to storm that no one could not even take off their skin.
