Brief Information of the eyewitness and the interview situation

I was four year old in 1945 and living in the same house (interview place) in Shahi Bazaar where other Aga Khan community is still living since 1905. My father, Ahmad Bhae, had a shop in this market. My house was constructed by my grandfather as a two storied stone, wood and mud structure which we renovated by the time.

I don’t remember exactly the event but my father used to tell us that waves came from “Pedizar” (rear side) of the sea and diverted to “Mulla Band” area. People evacuated at Jammat Khana because it was one of the most sturdy and elevated building at that time. I remember that my father took me on his shoulder and brought to Jamaat Khana.
