Brief Information of the eyewitness and the interview situation

I was 13 years old in 1945 and felt seven sever shocks of the earthquake early in the morning. I was awake at that time around 4.a.m and waves approached after approximately 2 hours after the earthquake.

Interview result (text of the interview: Purely descriptive)

There was a series of 7-8 waves and each looked like a combined wave of 2-3 huge waves. Around 10 people were died in the area. He believes that the secret tomb did not allow sea to access my area (being a believer of the religious person buried in the tomb) He shared his observations; land split and water came out at many places near the present jetty area. There was area named “Wadsar” which was badly hit by the storm. He heard by some people that sea receded before hitting the area but could not observe himself being away of the shoreline. The water flooded the area and took 6-7 days in receding. Khan of Qallat came and brought food (Gurr and Chana) and tents as relief. A British Navy ship also brought relief assistance after 15 days.
