Brief Information of the eyewitness and the interview situation

I was born in 1938 at Bit Island near Karachi and 7-8 years old. It was British Government rule when one day the one day earthquake happened and a sea storm attacked the community.

Sea level rose up and all area near the coast was inundated but not much damage was caused. We found three dead bodies including a Hindu woman dressed in bridal wearing jewelry near mangrove forest. Around 10 a.m. in the morning water suddenly intruded in Kharadar area even reached up to Jamaat Khana of ‘Machicha Colony’. Some people rushed away but there was not life threat of this inundation.
