When Hindus left the area (migrated), I was 12 – 14 years old and used to take care of cattle.

Hidu Jatt tribe was the richest in the area and their women used to wear heavy nose ring (around 50-60 grams). When dead bodies brought in by sea water, the people who survived tried to steal gold jewelry of the dead women. Cattle farming were one of the major sources of living along with rice and wheat cultivation. So lot of cattle washed away by the waves from Gharo city to Kharochhan area. The storm (tsunami) happened during night.
